Connecting Africa's Skies, one route at a time
We identify and push for underserved African air routes to open, driving trade, tourism, and unity.
What We Do
Hundreds of hours of research has resulted in the creation of dozens on individual case studies, able to be viewed by the general public, but mainly directed at executives of African airlines and individuals in positions of power in other entities related to aviation across the African Continent.
With this research, Open Skies Africa hopes to educate those with decision-making power on neglected routes across the continent, ensuring no place for apathy or lack of regard. In addition, we try to show the massive upside potential of implementing (or increasing the frequency) of these routes on the economies of different countries, the benefits to the livelihoods of citizens of the African continent, and the monetary benefit to the airlines themselves. The goal of the research and the studies is to ensure no one is left behind in their lust for aviation access across the continent, and to ensure that the African Airline industry is not indifferent to the needs of individual citizens.
In addition to the case studies and airline/aviation industry outreach, Open Skies Africa provides personal consulting services to anyone affected by aviation availability shortcomings across the African Continent. We are able to aid people by finding travel accommodations (especially for routes without direct service, the very issue Open Skies Africa was created for) for people who struggle to figure it out themselves, at a time where booking airline travel can be more confusing and dizzying than ever.
